In 1999, our owners, Juan and Melissa Fuentes, started JMAS Texas Lawn Care Corp. For many years now, JMAS Texas Care has been serving residential and commercial clients in the Katy and West Houston area.
In 2022, we made the decision to no longer provide residential mowing services and begin to focus on landscaping. JMAS Texas Lawn Care’s primary focus will remain commercial maintenance, and our partner company, JMAS Landscaping, will provide landscaping services.
Juan was originally born in El Salvador but came to the United States in the early 1980’s. He is now a proud U.S. Citizen. Juan’s father worked for Cornelius Nursery for over 30 years and passed on his nursery and landscape knowledge to Juan, along with the value of hard work and determination–these remain with Juan daily. Juan began his career in the grocery business, where he learned many valuable management skills. Juan manages all field operations and handles sales for JMAS.
Melissa was born in Texas and began her career with Marathon Oil. However, as JMAS grew, she left Marathon to help grow and operate JMAS. Melissa manages the office functions, and is also a licensed irrigator for JMAS.
Juan and Melissa met in high school in Katy. Juan enjoys playing and watching soccer. He is also an avid Astros and Rockets fan. Melissa enjoys volunteering at her church, spending time with her family and goats, and cooking.
